Rescue operations underway after landslide hits Army Camp in Sikkim.
A tragic landslide struck a military camp at Chhaten near Lachen in Sikkim’s Mangan district on Sunday at 7 PM, triggered by heavy rainfall. According to a defence official, three army personnel lost their lives, and six soldiers are missing. The bodies of the deceased have been recovered, and four others were rescued with minor injuries. Rescue teams are working tirelessly under harsh weather and terrain conditions to locate the missing soldiers. The incident underscores the dangers faced by personnel stationed in vulnerable high-altitude regions. Authorities are closely monitoring the situation as operations continue.
सिक्किम के मंगन ज़िले के लाचेन के पास छाटेन में रविवार शाम 7 बजे एक सैन्य शिविर में भारी वर्षा के कारण भूस्खलन हुआ। एक रक्षा अधिकारी के अनुसार, इस हादसे में तीन सैन्यकर्मियों की मौत हो गई और छह जवान लापता हैं। मृतकों के शव बरामद कर लिए गए हैं, जबकि चार अन्य घायल जवानों को सुरक्षित बचा लिया गया है। बचाव दल कठिन मौसम और दुर्गम इलाकों में लगातार लापता जवानों की तलाश में जुटे हैं। यह हादसा ऊँचाई वाले संवेदनशील क्षेत्रों में तैनात सैनिकों के खतरों को उजागर करता है। प्रशासन स्थिति पर नजर बनाए हुए है।
