A shocking case that puts humanity to shame has come to light at an old age home located in Sector-55, Noida. In the institution named Anand Niketan Vriddh Seva Ashram, the kind of inhumane treatment being meted out to the elderly left the raiding team stunned. The State Women’s Commission, Noida Police, Social Welfare Department, and District Probation Department’s team rescued 40 elderly individuals and sealed the ashram.
During the raid, when the team went inside, they found an elderly woman tied up with clothes and locked in a room. Men were found locked in basement-like dark rooms with padlocks. Many people didn’t even have proper clothes. Elderly women were found in extremely pitiful conditions during the raid.
नोएडा के सेक्टर-55 में स्थित एक ओल्ड ऐज होम में इंसानियत को शर्मसार कर देने वाला मामला सामने आया है। आनंद निकेतन वृद्ध सेवा आश्रम नाम की संस्था में बुजुर्गों के साथ जिस तरह का अमानवीय व्यवहार किया जा रहा था, उसे देखकर छापा मारने गई टीम भी हैरान रह गई। राज्य महिला आयोग, नोएडा पुलिस, समाज कल्याण विभाग और जिला प्रोबेशन विभाग की टीम ने 40 बुजुर्गों को रेस्क्यू किया और आश्रम को सील कर दिया गया।
छापेमारी के दौरान जब टीम अंदर पहुंची तो एक बुजुर्ग महिला को कपड़े से बांधकर कमरे में बंद किया गया था। वहीं पुरुषों को तहखाने जैसे अंधेरे कमरों में ताले लगाकर रखा गया था। कई लोगों के पास ढंग के कपड़े भी नहीं थे। छापेमारी के दौरान बुजुर्ग महिलाएं बेहद दयनीय स्थिति में मिलीं।
